Anthony “Tony” Gago, 54, Township of Flambeau, died on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at the Luther Hospital in Eau Claire. He was born on December 9, 1958, in Phillips the son of Andrew, Jr. and Mary (Tadin) Gago. He spent his entire life in the Phillips area. He attend and graduated from Phillips High School, Class of 1977. He then attended technical school in Rice Lake and received an Associate Degree as a telephone Engineer.
He was married to Vickie Larson on May 26, 1979, in Phillips. They celebrated over 33years of marriage. He was employed as a journeyman lineman for Xcel Energy for over 34 years. In his free time he was an avid outdoorsman who especially enjoyed hunting and fishing.He is survived by his wife Vickie, Township of Flambeau, by 1 son Steven, Ann Arbor, Mi. by his Mother Mary Gago, Township of Flambeau 2 sisters Diane (Ron) Tingo, Township of Flambeau, and Cindy Gago, Minneapolis by 3 brothers: Darrell (Diane) Gago, Tony, Wi., Larry (Dorothy) Gago , Turtle Lake, Wi., and Mike (Barb) Gago, Township of Flambeau
He was preceded in death by his Father Andrew Gago, Jr., by 1 brother Bob and by 1 sister Kathy.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013,from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. at the Heindl Funeral Home, Phillips
