Arnold Charles Herbst
Age 85, of Park Falls, died on Sunday March 23, 2014 at his home in Park Falls surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was born on March 21, 1929 in Park Falls, the son of Charles and Mary (Bradle) Herbst. His early life and schooling were in Park Falls. After graduation he attended Barber school in St. Paul, MN. He then entered the United States Army serving in the Korean War. On June 1, 1955 he married Bertha Kangas. Arnold was a barber all of his life. He also worked for and retired from the Flambeau Paper Mill. He was a member of the Park Falls American Legion and VFW Posts, the Knights of Columbus, and was the Town of Eisenstein Chairman for nearly 25 years. Arnold enjoyed hunting, fishing, was an avid sports fan, enjoyed Polka music & dancing, playing cards, puzzles, and spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his infant twin brother, and (2)sisters: Harriet Woodie & Adeline Grassel.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday March 26, 2014 at 11:00am from St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Park Falls. Military Honors under the auspices of the Park Falls American Legion and VFW Posts will follow.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday at the church from 10:00am until the hour of the service.
Interment will take place at Nola Cemetery in Park Falls at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Flambeau Home Health and Hospice would be appreciated.
