Howdy, again and welcome to the Ramblings of DJ Rick. This is going to be short & sweet. A lot has been made about the recent rejected mining project in northern Wisconsin. Republican, Democrat or Independant, or some other political affiliation........LET"S DO THE RIGHT THING, AND GET THIS PROJECT BACK!! Do our politicans realize the trickle down effect this would have in northern Wisconsin??? I think not................Common sense says some folks really struck out on this one :(

After ranting last week about getting in this years 98Q NCAA Pool (which I can't win, even if I did win), several folks told me to "chill out & Relax", and they were correct. This whole pool, which is played by over 100 million americans (no stats, I'm just throwing that out there), is supposed to be a fun thing, and luck is the major part of it. I must have gotten up on the wrong side of the bed that day :(
An hour before the pool deadline, I figured, what the heck, and got in. After being in 6th place going into Sundays games, I've dropped down to 12th. Heaven forbid...Art Dunham is ahead of me!! ART DUNHAM!! Now I REALLY wish I wouldn't have got in this foolish garbage. All I have to say is Joel better not go ahead of me, or I may do something foolish :)
Enjoy the rest of the tournament, and I hope you get lucky. It sure has been fun watching two #15 seeds upset the #2's. Go Marquette and Wisconsin!!!!!!!!!!
Well, it's finally here. The wonderful time of year when all us folks who never watch any college basketball other than possibly the Badgers or Marquette Golden Eagles, act like "know-it-alls" and fill out our brackets. After doing this for 40+ years, I've come to the conclusion that it's not the person who knows the most about NCAA hoops, but the person with the most luck!!! It's easy to guess that one of the top seeds will win this thing. After all, thats who the so-called experts (who watch games for a living) are picking. There's only a handfull of teams that have a chance at all of being champs (and Marquette & Wisconsin aren't 2 of them, sorry). And here we are, wondering if St. Marys, Lamar, N.C. Ashville, MVS, Belmont, Iona or Lehigh will win even one game. My uneducated guess is a BIG FAT NO. Good luck if your getting in on the "Madness", but you won't have me to worry about beating....cuz I'm taking my ball & going home !!!!
It's the 1st time in 40 years that I've had the common scents to avoid all the madness. Bye for now, I've got to take my medication :)
