What a night it was......A night that will be talked about for decades to come. The Packers were robbed! The referee's stole a victory from the Packers, that, who knows, could affect the outcome of this years NFL season for the Packers. Yes, there were terrible calls both ways. Yes, the Packers didn't play their best game. Yes, the replacement ref's are trying their best. But the show the NFL put on Monday night in Seattle was painful. "Embarrassing" would be a great word to use to discribe the NFL season so far. And last night took the cake. A team was punished by the greedy NFL and it's regular refs. If this had happened to the Seattle Seahawks I would feel the same way. Players, fans, network announcers........Everyone has had it!! CHANGE IT..............
How 'bout "MY" Brewers?? With the win at Pittsburgh tonight, we move 3 games over 500 (which a month ago was a dream) and we stay 2.5 games back of St. Louis in the hunt for a wildcard playoff spot. Regardless of if the Crew makes the playoffs or not, isn't it nice to see that they never gave up? A month ago they were 12 games below the 500 mark and 12.5 games out in the playoff hunt. They have now won 21 of their last 27 games, and are looking like the team we thought they were back when it all started in April. Come to think of it....The Brewers have been a very good team all year....the releif pitching is the only thing from keeping the Crew from contending for the division instead of that 1 game playoff with Atlanta.
And speaking of that second wildcard team...Thank You Bud Selig!!! From fans in Atlanta, Philadelphia, St Louis, Arizona, Pittsburgh and Milwaukee.......Thank You. Without you're decision to add 1 extra team to the playoff picture, the season would have been over for all of us a long time ago. GO BREWERS!!!!!

It sure is hard to believe it's been 11 years since America withstood a terrible storm. And I'm not sure why, but this morning, as I ate breakfast and heard Alan Jackson's "Where were you", I got very emotional, fighting to hold back tears. This is 11 years later!! 11 YEARS!!! Maybe I'm just getting older and more grateful for how great this country really is. I'm not really sure. I do know this...I wouldn't want to live anywhere else in the world, the United States, or in Wisconsin. I'm going to treat the rest of today like Thanksgiving. We should give thanks every day, but especially on a day like this. Now, pass the turkey

I see our Program Director, Mr. Karnick found time to post his bi-annual blog so I figured I'd better keep up with the "Joels"!!!
Hope summer has treated you well. Not a bad little summer in northern Wisconsin. Very warm and not much rain to spoil any plans. My kinda Summer. But it's time for the leaves to fall, get a little chill in the air, and for gosh sake.....LETS KICKOFF THAT DARN FOOTBALL!! Packer football should once again be top-notch. We really are lucky to have a great QB like Aaron Rodgers wearing green & gold. That guy is a real class act, on AND off the field. Just ask a fan of the Bears, Lions or Vikings what it means to have a great QB under center for your team? All they can do is shrug their shoulders
