Eugene J. Miesbauer
age 81, of Eisenstein, died on Wednesday November 20, 2013 under the care of his niece Jeanette, his friend Lisa, and Flambeau Home Health and Hospice. He was born on November 19, 1932 in Park Falls, the son of Otto and Louise (Bradle) Miesbauer. His early life and schooling were in Eisenstein. After his schooling he served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Eugene worked for a time logging and then owned and operated a dairy farm. He loved children and was also affectionately known as the Eisenstein Daily Herald. He will be missed by his family and many friends.
He is survived by:
his sister Mary Hodun of Park Falls
his sister-in-law June Miesbauer of Park Falls
and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Charles Miesbauer, his nephew Thomas Miesbauer, his niece Barbara Hodun, and his infant great nephew Adam Miesbauer.
Funeral services will be held on Monday November 25, 2013 at 11:00am from St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Park Falls. Fr. Shaji Pazhukkathara will officiate.
Burial will follow at Nola Cemetery in Park Falls with military rites under the auspices of the United States Army and the Park Falls American Legion and VFW Posts.
A visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00am until the hour of the service at the church.
