Evelyn M. Klein, 91, Phillips, died on Sunday, July 6, 2014, surrounded by her family, under the care of Flambeau Home Health Care and Hospice. She was a lifelong resident of Price County. She was born on July 25, 1922, in Phillips, the daughter of William and Mary (Hilgart) Bloom. She was married to Donald Klein on October 28, 1942, in Bessemer, Mi., They celebrated over 71 years of marriage together. She was employed by Flambeau Milling, the Norwood Theater, and she and her husband Donald owned and operated rental property in the Phillips area.
She was a member of St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, Phillips.
In her free time she enjoyed crocheting, flower gardening, cooking, baking, and especially spending time with her children , grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Donald, Phillips, by her 2 children: Chuck (Dorie) Klein and Bonnie (Ronald) Dunbar, all of Phillips, by 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 1 sister-in-law Anne Bloom, Phillips.
She was preceded in death by her parents, by 1 brother and 4 sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, July 11, 2014, at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, Phillips, with Fr. Gerald Hagen officiating. Inurnment will be in the St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Phillips, Friends may call after 1:00 P.M. on Friday at the church until the time of the service.
