For those of you that have ever uttered the phrase "There's nothing to do in northern Wisconsin as far as culture goes", your dead wrong!!! Sure, we're not New York, Chicago or Las Vegas, when it comes to night-life and top of the line entertainment, however the Woods & Waters Concert Series gives us a little taste of "BIG CITY" culture. Monday evening capped off another wonderful season in Park Falls, with one more concert in Medford May 12th.
Cahal Dunne, "Irelands Happy Man" gave a performance that folks in those big cities pay $100 for. In case you missed it (and many of you did), he is a Concert Pianist, Composer, singer with a golden voice, story teller, and comedian wrapped up together.
Whether you enjoy classical music, broadway hits, country or "Irish Jigs", he had it all in his 2 1/2 hour show. I've gotta admit though, hearing Cahal do some Alan Jackson and George Strait with his Irish accent was a little different!!!
If you enjoy a great, quality night of entertainment, consider a season ticket to next year's Woods & Waters Concert Series. That will be the best ca$h you'll spend next year. No one has ever left the auditoriums disappointed. This years season ticket price was $35. Not sure what next years price will be, but it'll be a steal at double the price!!Contact Sue Houkom @ 715-762-4515 to get more information, and get on the list of people to call for tickets when the 2011-12 season ticket drive takes place in August.
OK....Now on with summer!! GO BREWERS!!!
