James Allen Janacek, 58, Town of Worcester



James Allen Janacek, 58, Town of Worcester, Phillips, died at Memorial Health Center in Medford on Wednesday, May 30, 2012.  He was born in Phillips on April 15, 1954, the son of Stephan and Bessie (Novak) Janacek.  He was a 1973 graduate of the Phillips High School.  He logged and farmed, was employed by Tony’s Implement, the Town of Worcester, Polacek Implement, and from 1977 to the present time by Marquip.  He was married to Linda Ringersma in 1979 and to that union two sons were born.  They later divorced.  He was later married to Bonnie Alexander and they divorced after a short time.  In his free time he enjoyed working on old tractors and machinery, hunting, working in the woods, raising Pug dogs, and playing cards.  He was a member of the Price County Trails association and of the Chaparrals Snowmobile Club.
 
He is survived by his significant other, Virginia Paulsen; by two sons, Ed (Stacy), Phillips, Al (Amanda), Kennan, by three step-children, Tom Marsh, Neenah, Sherry (Bill) Brunkow, Park Falls, and Scott (Liz) Marsh, Phillips; by four grandchildren, Braden, Damien, Brody, and Grant; by eight step grandchildren; by his mother, Bessie Janacek, Phillips; by one sister, Marion (Butch) DeLasky, Phillips; and by two brothers, Steven (Charlotte), Phillips, and Larry (Cora), Marshfield, MO.  He is preceded in death by his father, Stephan; and by one infant brother, Edward.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, June 4, at the Heindl Funeral Home in Phillips.  Friends may call at the funeral home after 10:00 A.M. on Monday.  Interment will be in the Lakeside Cemetery in Phillips.
