James C. Krucky, 88, Township of Worcester, died on Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at the Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born on December 17, 1924, the son of Anton and Anna (Skala) Krucky. He spent his entire life in the Phillips area. He attended the Crane Chase School and then attended and graduated from Phillips High School, Class of 1942. He was married to Helen Kaufmann on May 31, 1947, in Phillips. They celebrated over 66 years of marriage. He was employed at various occupations during his working career including Flambeau Feed Mill, Peterson Lumber and Logging, Omark Industries, and the Melvin Company as a truck driver for their ready mix products, prior to his retirement.
In his free time he was avid motorcyclist, enjoyed woodworking and fishing.
He is survived by his wife Helen, Township of Worcester, by 4 children: Sally (Archie) Hill, Glidden, Charles (Mary Beth) Krucky, Milwaukee, Janet (Jim) Johnson Phillips/Ogema, and Daniel Krucky, Wausau, by 3 grandchildren Harvey and Paul Hill, and Rachael Coe by2 great grandchildren Addison and Zane Hill, and by 1 sister: Helen Green, South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents, by 2 sisters Martha and Margie, and by 4 brothers: Joe, George, Frank and Tony and by 1 Half Brother Bohemil.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 8, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, Phillips, with Fr. Gerald Hagen and Deacon James Celba officiating. Interment will be in the St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Phillips. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. on Friday at the church until the time of the service
