Laura Marie LeBel
age 101, of Butternut, died on July 7, 2012 at Park Manor Nursing Home in Park Falls.  She was born on January 29, 1911 in Butternut, the daughter of August and Helene (Bentz) Scherwinski.  Her early life and schooling were in Butternut.  On September 23, 1950 she married Francis LeBel in Chicago.   During WWII Laura worked in a war factory producing patriotic items and was a homemaker.  In the early1970's Laura and her husband lived in Bayfield for a time before returning to Butternut.
 
She is survived by her brother-in-law John Linsmeyer of Butternut and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Francis in 1978, (3)brothers: Albert, Emil, and Ted Scherwinski, and (7)sisters: Della Christian, Ella Wartgow, Helen Rose, Erna Lackey, Gertie Linsmeyer, Bertha Wenzl, and Alvina Passer.
 
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday July 10, 2012 at 10:30am from St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Butternut.  Rev. John A. Deitz will officiate. 
 
A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9:00am until the hour of the service at the church.
 
Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Bayfield
