Michael Anthony Tenney, 61, Phillips, Town of Worcester
Michael Anthony Tenney, 61, Phillips, Town of Worcester, died at the Wissota Health and Regional Vent Center on Sunday, June 1st, 2014. He was born in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, on May 16, 1953, the son of William and Antoinette Tenney. He was a 1971 graduate of Memorial High School of Eau Claire. He served his country in the United States Navy for 7 ½ years. He was employed by Marquip WardUnited in Phillips until the time that he became disabled in 2013. In latter years he also was the primary care taker for his parents. He was a member of St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church of Phillips, and as a young man served in the Color Guard of the Eau Claire Boys Drum and Bugle Corps. In his free time he enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting morel mushrooms, and antiquing. He is survived by his mother, Antoinette Tenney, Phillips; by 7 brothers and sisters, Patricia (James) Moss, Eleva, WI, Ginger (Jim) Harings, Chippewa Falls, WI, William Jr. (Sally), Eau Claire, WI, Kathleen Cliff, Eau Claire, John (Debbie), Highland Ranch, CO, Sharon (Jeff) Covill, Eau Claire, WI, and Robert “Bob”, Phillips; by nieces and nephews; and by three special friends, Deacon Rick and Judy Dvorek, Carol and Barry Jackson, and Ron Dahlgren. He is preceded in death by his father, William Tenney Sr.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 6, at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church in Phillips with Father Gerald Hagen celebrating the Funeral Mass. Military honors will be conducted by the Frank and Michael Baran VFW Post No. 5887 and the Lane Kreiling American Legion Post No. 122 Inurnment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
