Michael John Ware, 66, Town of Peeksville, Butternut, died at his home on Tuesday, May 27, 2014. He was born in Plattville, Wisconsin, on May 16, 1948, the son of Robert and Frances Ware. He served his country in the United States Military in Viet Nam. He was married to Margie Faye Jones on August 6, 1971, in Thomasville, NC. He was employed by the Nelson Telephone Company of Durand as a Service Technician. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Butternut. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. He is survived by his wife, Margie; by three children, Rachael Lynn (Peter) Steines, Carver, MN, John Michael, Clintonville, WI, and Alice Frances (Roman) Maguire, Kimberly, WI; by 5 grandchildren and 4 step grandchildren; by two brothers, Ronald and Randall, both of Platteville, WI; and by two sisters, Mary Williams, Santa Fe, NM, and Nancy Ware, Platteville, WI. His parents precede him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 31, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Butternut with Father Shaji Pazhukkathara celebrating the Funeral Mass. The Thaddeus Zyk American Legion Post No. 272 will conduct military honors. Pallbearers at the funeral services will be Joseph Anderson, David Broeniman, Fred Biel, Gary Bauer, Keith Stricker, and Robert Olson.
