Tamara “Tammy” Nelson, 51,died on Sunday, July 1, 2012, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. She was born on October 20, 1960, in Phillips, the daughter of Matthew and Diana (Makovsky) Timmers. She spent her early life in Kennan. She attended the Kennan Grade School and then attended and graduated from Phillips High School, Class of 1979. She was married to John Nelson on August 30, 1986, in Phillips. She was employed by Phillips Plastics for over 27 years and was currently employed by Marquip Ward United both of Phillips. She was a member of St. Therese of Lesieux Ctholic Church where she was active with religious education classes. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandchildren who were the light of her life , and was often seen walking in the community.
She is survived by her husband John, Phillips, by 3 children: Nicole (Ryan) Sidenbender, Hawkins, Jared (Keri) and Tyler, all of Phillips, by 3 grandchildren Rylie, Aubrey and Weston, by her parents. Matthew and Diana Timmers, Medford, by 2 sisters: Debbie (Dan) Robinson, Spread Eagle, Wi., and Deanna (Scott) Hilgart, Park Falls,by 2 brothers: Todd (Lori) Timmers, Phillips and Donnie (Heather) Timmers, Medford, by her Father and Mother in Law: Richard and Patricia Gilge, Rib Lake, and many family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents, and by 1 uncle Raymond Makovsky
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 6, 2012, at St. Therese of Lesieux Catholic Church, Phillips, with Fr. Gerald Hagen officiating. Interment will be in the St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Phillips. Friends may call after 5:30 P.M. on Thursday, July 5, 2012, at St. Therese of Lesieux Catholic Church, Phillips, where a parish wake service will be held at 7:00 P.M.
