Jean E. Bolton, 82, Township of Elk



Jean E. Bolton, 82, Township of Elk, died on Friday, July 20, 2012 at the Seasons of Life Hospice House in Woodruff. She was born on July 14, 1930, in Milwaukee, Wis., the daughter of Herbert and Lorraine (Marquardt) Messing.
She spent her early life and schooling in Milwaukee where she graduated from North Division High School. She was married to John Bolton on November 1, 1952, in Waukegan, Ill. She was employed at various concerns as a bookkeeper prior to the birth of their children. She and her husband John were residents of Sussex, Wis. Until they made there home in the Township of Elk in 1989.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Westminster Women’s Guild of the church,
The Price County Genealogical Society, and was active with the local blood drives
In her free time she enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, was an avid Brewer and Packer Fan and enjoyed traveling with family and friends
She is survived by 4 children: Karen (Harvey) Houser, Englewood, Fla., Gene (Lynda)
Bolton, Phillips, Sheila (John) Campbell, Pewaukee, Wi., and Barb (Ken) Johnson, Phillips, 8 grandchildren: Jeremy, Gene and Bradley (Shalana) Bolton, Michele Maye, Christina (Mark) Herzfeldt, Courtney Campbell and Patti and Mike Houser, and 6 Great Grandchildren: Leanne and Elijah Houser, Patrick Sean Maye, Aubrie Herzfeldt and Braun and Braelyn Bolton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, by 2 sisters: Vivian and Carol and by her husband John on July 13, 2005.
The funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at the United Methodist Church with Harvey Houser son-in-law officiating. Interment will be in the Lakeside Cemetery, Phillips. Friends may call after 9:30 A.M. on Tuesday at the church until the time of the service.
A Memorial Fund has been established.
