Steven J Schneider (61) of Phillips passed away peacefully August 10, 2012 under the care of Flambeau Home Healthcare and Hospice. Born February 22, 1951 in Milwaukee WI to the late Raymond and Gloria (Neider) Schneider. Beloved friend of Linda Christman. Loving father of Wendy Schneider (friend Brian Ruether) of Wausau and Jaime Schneider of Phillips. He is also survived by his brother Mike (friend Laura Gregor) of Phillips and sister Mary (Rick) Deno of Nashville TN. Grandchildren Hunter, James and Jesse Bruhn and Crystal Ruether and special children Jasmine Ruether and Logan Ruether.
 
Steve was the owner of Schneider Plumbing and Heating since 1982. The legendary muskie hunter also enjoyed hunting, baseball, football, bowling and cards. Steve served many years on the Phillips volunteer fire Department.
Steve enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his many many friends.
 
A celebration of Steve’s life will be held at a later date.
