Mary Jane Coppock, age 78, of Park Falls died on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at Park Manor Nursing Home in Park Falls.
Mary was born on May 19, 1934 to the late Raymond and Hildur (Peterson) Stoltenberg in Roselle, Illinois. On May 27, 1953, she married Lloyd W. Coppock. Together, Mary and Lloyd owned and operated Coppock Trucking in Bloomingdale, Illinois and then Donner's Bay Resort on the Flambeau Flowage in Butternut, Wisconsin. They retired in 1989 to Mountain Home, Arkansas where Mary worked as a bartender and book keeper for the Eagles. She was very active in her churches while in Roselle and Mountain Home. She enjoyed knitting and all her grandchildren and many others have one of her hand knit Christmas stockings.
After Lloyd's death in 1995, she spent another 10 years in Arkansas before returning to Wisconsin. She lived in Mercer for a short while before moving to Park Manor in Park Falls where she slowly slipped away from her family into Alzheimer's. Music never left her and now she is singing with the Angels.
Mary is survived by her children, Peggy Sue (Jerry) Pritzl of Park Falls, Judy (Doug) Dikun of Carol Stream, Ill, Cindy (Joe) Hahn of Mercer, WI and Dwight (Debbie) Coppock of Willard, Mo.; 11 grand children and 8.5 great-grandchildren.
A brother-in-law, Edwin Dunteman and her favorite sister-in-law, Dolores Stoltenberg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, brothers, Raymond, Richard and William Stoltenberg and a sister-in-law, Maryann Dunteman.
Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Peace Lutheran Church in Park Falls with the Reverend Dale V. Heinlein officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at church. Interment will be at a later date in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family which will be given in Mary’s name to the Wisconsin Alzheimer's Disease Research Center.
