Janice Bablick
age 86, of Butternut, died on Thursday September 27, 2012 at Park Manor Nursing Home in Park Falls. She was born on February 8, 1926 in Westboro, the daughter of William and Vera (Larson) Grittner. Her early life and schooling were in Westboro. Janice graduated from the Butternut High School. On November 3, 1945 she married George Bablick in Butternut. She was a homemaker, worked as a telephone operator and was a home health aid for Ashland County. Janice was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and the Butternut American Legion Auxiliary. She loved playing cards, particularly cribbage, baking & cooking, and spending time with her family and friends, especially at Christmas time.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George in 1992, (2)sisters: Ramona Ault and Louise Andraska, (2)brothers: John Grittner and her infant brother Delois, and her best friend who was like a sister to her: Cleo “Tink” Masterson.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday October 2, 2012 at 11:00am from Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Butternut. Fr. Shaji Pazhukkathara and Deacon David Bablick will co-officiate.
Burial will follow at St. Cecelia Catholic Cemetery in Butternut.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday at the church from 9:00am until the hour of the service.
