Lucile Joyce Fisher, 90, Kennan, died in the Aspirus Pleasant View Nursing Home in Phillips on Wednesday, October 3, 2012.  She was born on March 26, 1922, in Kennan, the daughter of Anton and Francis (Pospeck) Hanoski.  She was a 1941 graduate of the Phillips High School.  She was married to Herbert “Pete” Fisher in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Catawba on April 18, 1942.  She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church of Catawba, of St. Michaels Altar Society, she was a longtime member of and served various officer positions in the OKGH Homemakers Club.  She enjoyed several hobbies including rosemaling and scrap booking of local news articles.  She was a news reporter for the Kennan Georgetown area for many years for the BEE.  One of her greatest joys was family gatherings, especially cookouts and grilling.  Apple season was always one of her favorite times, from picking apples to traveling around the country selling bushels of apples.  She was known as the “Apple Lady”’ selling apples for many years in the Price, Taylor, and Rusk County areas.     She is survived by three sons, Michael (Susan), Winona, MN, Ken (Sue), Catawba, and Danny, Kennan; by one daughter-in-law, Nancy, Phillips; by 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren; and by one brother, Ray (Pat) Hanoski, Phillips.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert “Pete” on July 5, 2003; by one infant daughter, Susan; by one son, Larry; by three brothers, Ben, Edward, and Chester; by four sisters, Clara Witherow, Helen Fisher, Cecilia Wilson, and Esther Wertin; and by four infant brothers and sisters.
     Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 5, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Catawba with Father Gerald Hagen celebrating the Funeral Mass.  Interment will be in the Kennan Cemetery inKennan.  Friends may call at the church from 9:30 A.M. until the time of services on Friday.
