Ronald Joseph Olson, 48, former Town of Kennan resident, died at his home in Rhinelander on Friday, November 16. He was born in Park Falls, Wisconsin, on December 1, 1963, the son of Leland and Jane (McCormick) Olson. While living in Kennan he attended St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Catawba. He participated in the Special Olympics as a young man and enjoyed watching movies with his friends. He is survived by his father, Leland, Catawba; by his paternal grandmother, Pearl Olson, Medford; by one sister, Jacklyn (Michael) Liebelt, Bloomer; by one brother, David (Karyn), Ogema; by nieces Vicki and Kelleen; and by one nephew Scott. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jane; by his paternal grandfather, Elmer Olson; and by his maternal grandparents, Leighton and Lillian McCormick.
Family graveside will be held at the Kennan Cemetery in Kennan with Deacon James Celba of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church of Catawba officiating.
The Heindl Funeral Home in Phillips is assisting the family with funeral arrangements
