Kathryn L. Wardensky, 95, Park Falls



 Kathryn L. Wardensky
age 95, of Park Falls, died on Tuesday December 11, 2012 at Park Manor Nursing Home in Park Falls.  She was born on July 9, 1917 in Odanah, the daughter of Reese & Madeline (Soulier) Campbell.  Her early life and schooling were in Bayfield at St. Mary's Catholic School.  She moved to Park Falls as a teenager and completed her schooling.  She was called Bridget by family members, a name her father called her at birth.  After her schooling she worked at the Park Falls hospital as a nurses aide until her marriage.  She married Oscar Wardensky on May 7, 1938 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Park Falls.  She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Cloverleaf Rebekah Lodge, serving as treasurer.  After the children were grown she worked three nights a week at the Smith Nursing Home until Park Manor was opened.  She worked there three nights a week until her retirement age.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Oscar in 1979, her daughter Vivian and her husband Francis Smith and their son Joey, her step-daughter Carole and her husband Burt Grondine and their son Jon, (5)brothers: Reese, James, John, Joseph, and Frank Campbell and (2)sisters: Mary Navarro and Alyce Schultz.
 
Funeral services will be held on Friday December 14, 2012 at 11:00am from St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Park Falls.  Fr. Shaji Pazhukkathara and Deacon Chet Ball will co-officiate.
 
Burial will follow at Nola Cemetery in Park Falls.
 
A visitation will be held on Friday at the church from 10:00am until the hour of the service.
 
The Novitzke Funeral Home is assisting the family.
