Benjamin Robert Halverson
age 32, of West Salem, formerly of Butternut, died on Monday December 10, 2012 at his home in West Salem. He was born on February 5, 1980 in Park Falls, the son of Greg and Terry (O'Donnell) Halverson. His early life and schooling were in Butternut. In 2003 he moved to Milwaukee with his wife, and then to the La Crosse area in 2007. Ben was a veteran of the Wisconsin Air National Guard and earned the rank of Staff Sergeant with the 115th Fighter Wing, Security Forces Squadron. He served in Oman in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He earned a degree in Exercise Sports Science from the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse. On June 17, 2006 he married Kristine Bodoh in Butternut. Ben worked for Gunderson Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse as a Patient Services Specialist in the Oncology Department. He enjoyed playing softball & baseball, and watching the Brewers.

and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He is also survived by his “fur babies” Maggie and Molly.
 
Funeral services will be held on Saturday December 15, 2012 at 11:00am from Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Butternut. Fr. Shaji Pazhukkathara and Deacon Bob Schienebeck will co-officiate.
 
A visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 4:00pm until 8:00pm with a Parish Prayer Vigil at 7:00pm and on Saturday from 10:00am until the hour of the service.
