Cynthia Fox, 49, Rice Lake, former Catawba resident, died in the Luther Hospital in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, on Thursday, December 13. She was born in Park Falls, Wisconsin, on May 12, 1963, the daughter of Oliver and Lucielle (Partlow) Halmstad. She attended the Phillips High School. She was married to Tim Denzine and they later divorced. She was married to Brian Fox and they later divorced. In her working career she was employed by the Brownwood Restaurant in Baldwin, WI, Parkview Nursing Home in Woodville, WI, by Harzell in St. Croix, WI, Jerome Foods in Barron, WI, by Goodwill Industries, and ended her working career at Ventures Thrift Store in 1997 when she was diagnosed with MS.
She is survived by three children, T.J. Denzine, Baldwin, WI, Darrick Fox, Hudson, WI, and Jessica Fox, Rice Lake, WI; by 5 grandchildren; by her mother, Lucielle Halmstad, Rib Lake, WI; by four brothers, Gary Halmstad, Catawba, WI, Randy Halmstad, Merrill, WI, Art Halmstad, Appleton, WI, and Bruce Halmstad, Mexico; and by one sister, Carolyn Jones, Westboro. She is preceded in death by her father, Oliver, by one granddaughter, Gracelyn; and by one brother.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 20, at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Catawba with Rev. Jody Becker officiating. Inurnment will be in the Catawba Cemetery in Catawba. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
