Mary Margaret Altman, 66, Butternut



 Mary Margaret Altman
age 66, of Butternut, died on Thursday February 7, 2013 at Park Manor Nursing Home.  She was born on November 25, 1946 in Park Falls, the daughter of Howard and Adalia (Tank) Tesch.  Her early life and schooling were in Butternut.  On June 17, 1967 she married Joseph Altman.  Mary worked for the Butternut Veneer Mill for many years until her retirement.  She was very active at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Butternut helping with the Ladies Aid, the Quilters, and many other activities.  Mary was also a member of the Red Hats Ladies Club.
 
She is survived by:

and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Amy Gallaher, her granddaughter Ashley Gallaher, and her brother Frank Tesch Sr.
 
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday February 12, 2013 at 11:00am from St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Butternut.  Rev. John A. Deitz will officiate.
 
A visitation will be held on Monday at the church from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and on Tuesday from 10:00am until the hour of the service at the church.
 
Interment will take place at Butternut Union Cemetery in Butternut at a later date.
 
The Novitzke Funeral Home is assisting the family.
