Richard W. Woodie, age 93, of Park Falls, died on February 1, 2013 at Flambeau Hospital in Park Falls.
 
Richard was born in Park Falls on March 4, 1919, the son of Joseph E. and Mary (Wallner) Woodie. He resided in Park Falls his whole life. He was a decorated World War II Army Veteran.
 
Survivors include a daughter Sandra (Thomas) Tesky of Spooner; grandchildren Krista Tesky of Apple Valley, MN, Erich Tesky of Eau Claire, and Keith Jaglinski of Spooner; brothers: Clifford of Waukesha, Jerome of Park Falls, and Raymond of Park Falls; sister Irene Spoerl of Park Falls; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
 
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Eileen in 1976; brother Clarence; and sister Marion Zoesch.
 
Per Richard’s request, no services will be held. Private inurnment will take place in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner. Cremation Society of Wisconsin in Altoona is serving the family.
