HERBERT ROY PRECOUR, JR.

Herbert R. Precour, Jr., 74, Village of Greendale, Wi., died on Friday, February 15, 2013, at the Waukesha Memorial Hospital in Waukesha surrounded by this family. He was born on October 4, 1938, in Oshkosh, Wi., the son of Herbert R., Sr. and Genevieve (Persick) Precour. He spent his early life and schooling in the Milwaukee area. He attended and graduated from Notre Dame High School, Class of 1956 He was married to Patricia Mellinger on August 8, 1959, in Milwaukee. He was employed as a steamfitter by Steamfitters Local #601, Wisconsin for many years prior to his retirement in 1996. In his free time he was an avid golfer, tennis player, enjoyed hunting and especially spending time with his family and friends. H was actively involved in St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Greendale, was a former Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus, and a past president of the Northern Fraternal Life Insurance Co.

He is survived by his wife of over 53 years, Patricia, Greendale, Wi., by 1 son: Paul (Jackie) Precour, Phillips, by 2 daughters: Pamela (Jeffrey) Kohlmeyer, Franklin, Wi., and Penny Precour-Berry, Tomah, Wi., by 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 1 brother: David (Nancy) Precour, Greendale, and by 1 sister Jeannine (Edward) Kaczmarek, Yuma, Az.,
He was preceded in death by his parents, and by 1 sister Yvonne Pliska
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 22, 2013, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Greendal, with Fr. Aaron Esch celebrating the mass. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 A.M. on Friday until the time of the service.
