Lisa M. Wenzel, 51, Village of Hawkins died unexpectedly on Friday, February 15, 2013 at her home. She was born on July 21, 1961 in Wisconsin, the daughter of Kenneth and Florence (Adomaitis) Haroldson. She attended and graduated from Phillips High School, Class of 1979. She was married to Michael Veverka on Oct. 1, 1988, in Phillips. They later divorced. She was then married to Michael Wenzel, on February 14, 2004, in Hawkins. She was employed locally by Phillips Plastics, Price Credit Union and the R Store while living in Phillips. They made their home in Hawkins in 2010. While in Hawkins she was employed by the Northwoods Convienience Store.
She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Catawba, and a former member of the Kennan-Catawba Women’s Auxillary Post.In her free time she enjoyed dogs, birds, readiing completeing crossword puzzles and especially spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband Michael, Hawkins, by 2 daughters: Chasity (Ron) Wells, Aurora, Colo., and Sabrina Veverka, Phillips, by 2 grandaughtes: Asaisha Star and Ayanna Moon Wells., and by 1 sister: Caroline Retzlaff, Marshfield,
She was preceded in death by her parents, by 1 brother James Haroldson, by 1 sister Kathleen Halterman, and by 1 nephew Brian Halterman.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 23, 2013, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Catawba, with Fr. Gerald Hagen officiating. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
The Heindl Funeral Home, Phillips, is in charge of the arrangements.
