Richard Duane “Red” Weishan, 86, Park Falls, died in the Park Manor Nursing Home in Park Falls while under the care of Flambeau Home Health and Hospice. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on December 15, 1926, the son of Eugene and Lillian Weishan. He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1944 to 1947. He was married to Annabelle Vuchetich in Park Falls on October 19, 1974. He was employed by the John S. Jung Company of Milwaukee as a Pipe and Steamfitter, and then when he moved to Northern Wisconsin he was employed by Local 385 of Eau Claire until the time of his retirement. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 532 of Fifield. He is survived by his wife Annabelle; by three children, Cynthia Piotrowski, Milwaukee, WI, Laurie Weishan, Columbus, OH, and Michael Weishan, Southborough, MA; by four stepchildren, Barbara Vuchetich, Walden, NY, Paul Vuchetich, Rhinelander, WI, Daniel Vuchetich, Park Falls, and Julie Vuchetich, New Richmond, WI; by one grandson and by 5 step grandchildren; and by two brothers, John (Mary) Weishan, Milwaukee, WI, and Robert (Carmen) Weishan, Cayman Islands. He is preceded in death by his parents and by one brother, Eugene L. Weishan.
Cremation has taken place. No services are planned at this time.
