Theodore "Ted" Lallemont, 92, Catawba

Theodore “Ted” Lallemont, 92, of Catawba passed away peacefully on June 6, 2013. He was the son of the later Bert and Amelia (Konitzer) Lallemont of Sevastopol, Wi., in Door County.
He attended and graduated from Sevastopol High School Class of 1939. Ted was enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard and later joined the Army serving in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, and Central Europe. He was awarded 4 bronze battle stars, a service strip, 3 overseas service bars and a good conduct medal. While enlisted he met Dorothy Fuchs in Milwaukee, they married on June 16, 1943. After Ted returned from service they farmed in the Catawba area. He was also employed at Gambles Hardware in Phillips and Norco Windows in Hawkins until the time of this retirement He was a lifetime member of the VFW Posts first in Catawba, then the Southern Price County VFW Post #8491, an active member of the Wisconsin Conservation Congress, inducted into the Bear Hunter’s Association Hall of Fame in the 1990’s and received an Iron Clad Bear Hunters plaque in 2008 which meant a lot to him. Three generations of family and friends were able to participate in hunts with Ted and listen to the baying of the hounds he loved so much.
·        He is survived by his children: Jim (Ruth) Lallemont, Sheboygan, LeRoy (Marilyn) Lallemont, Kennan, Ken (Pat) Lallemont, Tom (Lola) Lallemont and Victor Lallemont all of Catawba, Donna Krueger, West Bend, Wi., Joan Gable, Merrill, Steve (Pam) Lallemont, Hudson, Wi., Nick (Jani) Lallemont, Rick (Karen) Lallemont, Chippewa Falls, Wi., Arnie (Lori) Lallemont, Muskego, Wi., Lois (Gerry) Dukish, Beaver Dam, Wi.,and Herb (Cathy) Lallemont, Cochrane,Wi., by 1 brother: Clarence (June) Lallemont, Sheboygan, and by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great great grandchild.
·        He was preceded in death by his parents, by his wife Dorothy, by 1 son Allan, by 1 daughter: Kathy Devine, by two sisters: Jeanette and Charlotte, by 1 brother George, and by 2 sons-in-law Helmuth Krueger and Bill Devine.
·        The funeral servie will be held on Friday, June 14, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the New Hiope Baptist Church, Kennan, with Pastor Jonnathan Morrow officiating. Interment will be in the Catawba Cemetery, Catawba, with military honors by the Southern Price County VFW Post #8491. Friends may call from 5:00 P.M. on Thursday at the
New Hope Baptist Church, Kennan and again at the church on Friday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service.
The Heindl Funeral Home, Phillips, is in charge of the arrangements.
