Brian D. Tomaszewski Sr., 64, Phillips, died at the Aspirus Pleasant View Nursing Home, Phillips, on Friday, September 13, 2013, He was born on May 7, 1949, in Chicago, Ill., the son of Raymond and Mildred (Brodocki) Tomaszewski. He spent his childhood in Chicago. His family then moved to Prentice. He attended and graduated from Prentice High School with the Class of 1967. Following High School he served his country in the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Germany. He was married to Laura Lontcoski on June 20, 1987, in Phillips. He was employed as a truck driver and then as an employee of the City of Phillips by the Public Works Dept. for over 30 years prior to his retirement.
In his free time he was an avid Packer and Badger fan, enjoyed riding his Harley, traveling, working with computers and visiting the local casinos.
He is survived by his wife Laura, Phillips, by his children Brian Jr., Sherman Oaks, Ca. and, Sarah Lontcoski, Park Falls.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 20, 2013, at St. Therese of Liseaux Catholic Church, Phillips with Fr. Gerald Hagen officiating. Inurnment will be in the Lakeside Cemetery, Phillips Military Honors will be held by the Frank and Michael Baran VFW Post #5778, Phillips. Friends may call at the Heindl Funeral Home, Phillips on Thursday, September 19, 2013, after 6:00 P.M.
The family would like to thank Dr. Louay Danial and the staff of the Aspirus Pleasant View Nursing Home for the excellent care that Brian received.
