John Weisinger, 60, Prentice, died in the Memorial Health Center in Medford on Monday, October 7, 2013. He was born in Phillips on October 13, 1952, the son of Ralph and Catherine (Straveler) Weisinger. He was a 1970 graduate of the Prentice High School where he excelled in basketball and baseball. He was married to Theresa Pierce in Phillips on August 4, 1971. He was a 37 year employee of the Harley Davidson Company in Tomahawk. He was a member of the Pool League, and in his free time enjoyed motorcycling, fishing, riding ATV, cooking, canning, mowing grass, snow plowing, and spending time with his family. He is survived by Theresa, his wife of 42 years; by three children, Laura Weisinger, Houston , Texas, Carrie (Albert) Kochan, Ogema, and Thomas (Bobby), Medford; by 15 grandchildren; and by three sisters, Violet Hamilton, Cedarburg, WI, Rose (Gregory “Stumpy”) Hartmann, Prentice, and JoAnn (Brian) Eiche, Mayville, WI. He is preceded in death by his parents; by one sister, Elaine Raleigh; and by one brother, Ralph Jr..
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 P.M. on Saturday, October 12, at the Heindl Funeral Home in Prentice with Pastor Rodney Price of the Ogema Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in the Prentice Cemetery in Prentice. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2:30 P.M. on Saturday until the time of services.
