Kenneth Leroy Goethlich
age 85, of Butternut, died on Friday March 28, 2014 at Seasons of Life Hospice in Woodruff. He was born on May 28, 1928 in park Falls, the son of Max and Louise (Meier) Goethlich. His early life and schooling were in Park Falls. Kenneth worked construction for many years and was a Veteran of the United States Army. He worked for the Butternut Veneer Mill and for the Flambeau Paper Mill until his retirement. He was a member of the Butternut American Legion Post and enjoyed hunting, the outdoors, making firewood, and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by:
his wife Patricia of Butternut
his daughter Sheryl (Bruce) Suzan of Park Falls
his sister Adeline Denk of Lugerville
and nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Nancy Louise Goethlich, (2)brothers: Harold and Bernard Goethlich, and (2)sisters: Ruby Faltinosky and Gertrude Meier.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday April 5, 2014 at 11:00am from the Novitzke Funeral Home Chapel in Park Falls. Deacon Bob Schienebeck will officiate.
Interment will follow at St. Cecelia Catholic Cemetery with military honors under the auspices of the Butternut American Legion Post.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday at the funeral home from 10:00am until the hour of the service.
