Melvin “Bucky” Charles Elmer
age 87, of Park Falls, died on Thursday April 24, 2014 at Park Manor Nursing Home in Park Falls. He was born on March 18, 1927 in Arpin, the son of Joseph and Ruth (Sturm) Elmer. His early life and schooling were in Park Falls. After his schooling Melvin entered the United States Army serving during WWII. On October 14, 1950 he married Arlene DeLasky. Melvin was a logger, worked for Price County Lumber Company, and then the Flambeau Paper Mill until his retirement. Melvin was a member of the Park Falls VFW Post. He enjoyed woodworking, animals, watching the Packers, and hunting and fishing. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and family and friends.

and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday April 29, 2014 at 10:30am from Peace Lutheran Church in Park Falls. Rev. Dale Heinlein will officiate.
Burial will follow at Nola Cemetery in Park Falls, with military rites under the auspices of the Park Falls VFW and American Legion Posts.
A visitation will be held at the church from 9:30am until the hour of the service.
The Novitzke Funeral Home is assisting the family.
