Edwin M. Trzecinski, 87, Township of Worcester

Edwin M. Trzecinski, 87, Township of Worcester, died on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at the Aspirus Pleasant View Nursing Home, Phillips. he was born on September 18, 1926, in Cudahy, Wi., the son of Edwin C. and Marguerite (Matsick) Trzecinski. He spent his early life and schooling in Cudahy. Following his education he served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1944 – 1946, in the Pacific Theatre of Action  in the Phillipines. He was married to Mildred McBride on June 21, 1958, in Phillips. They celebrated over 55 years of marriage. He was employed at various occupations including: logging, truck driving, owner of a excavation business, a bartender, a cheesemaker, and for many years prior to his retirement was a millwright and a scaler at the Phillips Hardboard Plant, kna Georgia Pacific Corp..
In his free time he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially telling stories, ws very active in his community where he was involved with the military honors funeral team and promoted and attended, the Honor Flight to Washington, and was a eucharistic minister for the catholic church
He was a member of St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, and the Frank and Michael Baran VFW Post #5778., and the Knights of Columbus Council #2963, all of Phillips..
He is survived by his wife Mildred, Township of Worcester, by 3 children: Julie (Steve) Prey, Tigerton, Wi., Jamie (Robin) Trzecinski and Mary Feranec, all of Phillips, by 11 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The funeral service will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Saturday, May 10, 2014, at St.Therese of Lisiuex Catholic Church, Phillips, with Fr. Gerald Hagen officiating. Interment will be in the St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Phillips, with military honors by the Frank and Michael Baran VFW Post #5778. and the Lane-Kreiling American Legion Post #122, both of Phillips. Friends may call at the Heindl Funeral Home, on Friday, May 9, 2014, after 5:30 P.M. where a parish wake service will be held at 7:00 with Deacon James Celba presiding.
A Memorial Fund has been established.
