Angela Augustine, long-time resident of Phillips, died on March 3, 2014. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, July 12, at St. Patrick Cemetery. Angela was born on September 25, 1915 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Lucia and Nicholas Delfino. She was united in marriage to Edward Augustine on May 26, 1936, at Holy Rosary Church, Chicago. They raised their family in Chicago, moved to Trevor, Wisconsin in 1953, and to Phillips, Wisconsin in 1971. Angela was a member of Our Lady of the Snows, Catholic Daughters, Home and Community Education, Hillside Artist and Prentice/Park Falls chapter of AARP. She enjoyed painting, making pottery, crocheting, writing poetry and especially gardening. As a thirty-five year member of Price County Home and Community Education, Merry Club, Angela wrote a poem for their annual Christmas tea.
She is survived by her daughter Mary Ann (Royce) Kennedy of Camp Lake, WI and son, Edward (Kavita) Augustine of Oregon, WI, twelve grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, seventeen great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward, daughters, Melinda and Valeria, and by her parents and ten siblings.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Parish, Wilmot, WI on Tuesday, July 8, 2014.
