Ruth A. Sedovic, 92, Park Falls




Ruth A. Sedovic
age 92, of Park Falls, died on Thursday July 31, 2014 at Flambeau Hospital in Park Falls.  She was born on January 29, 1922 in Phillips, the daughter of  Mike and Mary (Feranec) Hayda.  Her early life and schooling were in Phillips and she also attended University Wisconsin Superior.  Ruth worked in the Title 1 program for 14 years and worked as a substitute in the Park Falls school system for many years.  On June 17, 1942 she married Paul Sedovic in Phillips.  The couple resided in Park Falls for 72 years.  Ruth was a member of Peace Lutheran Church for over 72 years and was a charter member of the Altar Guild Memorial Committee, and served on the council and all church organizations . She taught Sunday School for 21 years.  She raised many flowers and took care of altar flowers for over 50 years.  She participated in all volunteer community projects.
 
She is survived by:
her son Robert P. Sedovic of Eau Claire
her granddaughter Jamie (David) Kemke of Hales Corners
and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul in 2007, her son William Michael Sedovic, and (3)sisters: Evelyn Berg-Spencer, Dorothy Antolik, and Elizabeth Jensen.
 
Funeral services will be  held on Friday August 8, 2014 at 11:00am from Peace Lutheran Church in Park Falls.  Rev. Dale Heinlein will officiate. 
 
Burial will follow at Nola Cemetery in Park Falls.
 
A visitation will be held on Friday at the church from 10:00am until the hour of the service.
 
Ruth wanted to sincerely thank all her wonderful neighbors, friends, mailman and her dear pastor Dale and Dianne Heinlein for making it possible to live in her  home until the end.
 
She especially would like to thank her dear son Bob who was always there for her surgeries, rehab, etc. and most of all he how much it meant to her when no matter where he was, he called her every night to “check in”. 
 
Ruth asked God to  bless you all and pray some day we will all be together in heaven.
